Randal Lane

Randal Lane's initial passion was for running which he developed while in the Marine Corp and later while serving in the Georgia Army National Guard. He readily admits that there was an extended period between his military service and turning the big“4-0" that he was not as committed to fitness and his overall health as he should have been. After vowing to get into better shape, Randal began participating in some local 5K races and attending crossfit workout sessions with his wife, Rena. After, placing in a number of 5K races, a friend suggested that Randal consider entering a triathlon as a new challenge. Randal began his triathlon training in late 2009 and competed in a number of sprint events in 2010 where he enjoyed a number of strong finishes. Although an injured knee cut his initial tri season a little short, he is already targeting a series of olympic distance events and even a half iron in 2011. Randal has a wife, Rena', and two daughters, Mackenzie and Baily, ages 10 and 7.

From Randal:

Before joining FCA Endurance, I trained mostly alone or very sporadically with some of the various team members before joining. Over time, I felt the Lord direct me to join and to become a part of something bigger that just my personal fitness ambitions. The fact that every encounter with someone on the FCA team was always encouraging, uplifting, and inviting removed all doubt that FCA Endurance was the absolute right place for me -- a place that I can share common interests and passions and also receive invaluable support and inspiration in terms of my physical as well as spiritual pursuits.
